Here is a pic of one of my Ascots. This is the one that I refer to as the "BadAscot". Partly because it is a blast to ride, but mostly because every time I work on something on it, I find several other issues. I originally called it Pandora, but thought that BadAscot sounded better. It is basically stock. I put lower bars on it, changed the gangly turn signals out for some LP units, and painted over the original pink with Carbon Metallic. It has ebay carbs, muffler (thanks Chris!), prechamber, and some bits from the local MC salvage yard. It currently has an issue with the steering head bearings. It wants to "center" and any attempt to turn the bars is met with resistance until you break over the flat spot, then it turns too hard. Makes it a bugger to roll at slow speeds. When I get it rolling it handles great with leaning, but anything that requires turning the bars causes a problem. Attachments:

Oh yeah, I also dumped the "scooter" mirrors and put a CRG Lane Splitter bar end mirror on the left side. I am still trying to decide whether to put the second CRG mirror on the right side, but putting $250 worth of mirrors on an $800 bike seems odd. This pic was taken at Miller Motorsports Park south of Salt Lake City Utah during the Bonneville GP a few weeks ago. I went down with a couple of friends that were doing races and track day and took the Ascot for a pit bike. Great sport!

I might have to name mine the "BadAscot II" as it has a multitude of issues I'm going to have to work on before I can rely on it...but hopefully by next spring it'll be a decent one.
