As you can see, I'm all most done, after about 3 months of stripping and sand blasting and painting, I have replaced 90% of all bolts with stainless steel allen head, rebuilt the front brake system with all new seals in the caliper and up top at the lever. Painted the engine and every little piece including the switch clusters on each side. I have stripped the rims and are going to leave them with the aluminum look. Fully modified the exhaust so I can removed it as one piece and reinstall as one unit. I've rejeted the carbs and put a K&N filter on it. I am still in need of rear shocks. I have droped the headlight down 1 1/2" from stock as well as the speedo and tach. I think it looks much better that way. I bought an 83 and an 84 from the same person and made one good one.(the 84 engine started a rod knocking so i had to change it)I did a half ass rebuild on it 3 years ago and have been wanting to do it right ever since so 3 months ago I decided to go for it, now I am on the mend from knee surgery. I will post some more pics as it gets closer. Tim Attachments:

My god, that engine is beautiful. I'm so jealous. I need to do an engine off restore and repaint of my bike. I LOVE the blacked out look. Chrome be damned.
